Change of name Bio Garantie d.o.o. and headquarter address

Dear ladies and gentlemen’s, 

we hereby inform you that in early December Austria Bio Garantie d.o.o. changed the company name to: 

Bio Garantie d.o.o.

We would also like to inform you that we have changed the headquarter address, and we are now at address: 40000 Čakovec, Ivana Mažuranića 2.

Also, in addition to these changes, there was a change in the general e-mail address to: hrvatska@bio-garantie.hr

Contact details of our employees, phone and mobile numbers, remain the same. 

We would like to inform you about the reasons for these changes, as well as the advantages: 

  • The organic market is internationally oriented and trust in certified brands is extremely important. We are part of the Austria Bio Garantie/Easy Cert Group (Austria, Italy, Croatia, Romania, Hungary) - with this step Bio Garantie works independently in Croatia 
  • The redesign of our website and adaptation of our trademark has already started in summer 2021
  • The trademark and name Austria Bio Garantie are very well known and they are often used to label of certified organic products. Trademark has changed and from summer is only available with a new focus on “organic guarantee"
  • The procedure and decision to do this changes was not easy for us, because we have been working in Croatia for more than 10 years with the trademark and company name "Austria Bio Garantie". Criticism regarding the hidden declaration of origin for ingredients that may not come from Austria (although they must appear in accordance with the EU Organic Regulation) and Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/775 for indication of the origin primary food ingredients, have encouraged us to this step because the same could be interpreted as a possible misleading declaration of origin for you

Is the concluded Inspection Contract still valid? Yes, of course - there are no special steps here! 

Is the certificate from 2021 still valid? Yes, it is - there is no need for any change. 

Will the number of the control body change due the new name and new address? No, the control body number remains the same HR-EKO-07.

We would also like to inform you that our Bio Garantie office will be open until 23.12.2021., in the period from 24.12.2021. to 09.01.2021. will not work, and in 2022 it will start working again on 10.01.2022.
